Electronic Submission of Forms

1. What is RVD e-Forms project ?

The "Electronic Submission of Forms" (e-Forms) project facilitates the public to submit forms electronically to RVD. It enables you to complete and send forms to RVD electronically anytime and anywhere.
2. Is the use of e-Forms mandatory ? Can I still lodge a form by post or in person ?

RVD e-Form service is an alternative to the conventional mode of serving a form by post or in person. The use of e-Forms is not mandatory. You may choose the mode that suits you best.
3. What are the benefits of using RVD e-Forms ?

The benefits of using RVD e-Forms are :

There are step-by-step guidelines to help you complete the e-forms.

Secure
The information submitted is encrypted to ensure confidentiality.

Simplified Authentication

*  A valid digital certificate ; OR
*  Your contact telephone number plus either
 
*  Hong Kong Identity Card Number ; or
*  Passport Number ; or
*  Business Registration Number.

4. What RVD e-Forms are available for submission ?

The following RVD e-Forms are now available :

Requisition for Particulars of Tenements ( Applicable to properties already included in the current Valuation List and/or Government Rent Roll ) e-R1A
Requisition for Particulars of Tenements ( Applicable to newly-completed properties or properties not yet included in the current Valuation List and/or Government Rent Roll ) e-R1C

5. What is the authentication requirement ? Do I need a digital certificate or to create an user account with RVD before being able to use RVD e-Forms ?

To make RVD e-Forms more accessible to the public, RVD has simplified the authentication requirement. To use RVD e-Forms, you need:

*  A valid digital certificate ; OR
*  Your contact telephone number plus either
 
*  Hong Kong Identity Card Number ; or
*  Passport Number ; or
*  Business Registration Number.

User accounts are not required.

6. How can I know an e-Form is successfully submitted to RVD ?

An on-line acknowledgement message will appear after successful submission of an e-form. The message will show the date and time of submission, a transaction reference number together with some important notes about the submission. You can print or save the message together with the information you have submitted.
7. How can I communicate with RVD after submission of an e-Form ?

Future communication with RVD regarding an e-form submitted can be made either in person, in writing or by telephone on a telephone number shown on the acknowledgement message. In any case, the e-form transaction reference number, also available on the acknowledgement message, should be quoted.
8. How can I forward supporting documents e.g. copy of a lease to RVD ?

Any supporting documents can be posted or delivered to RVD at its office quoting the e-form transaction reference number.
9. Will notice of decision be e-mailed to me ?

At present, notice of decision will be sent out by post to the address specified on the e-form.
